Chemical logistics

HOYER develops and delivers logistics solutions for the safe handling and domestic and international transport of liquid chemical products – including both hazardous and non-hazardous substances.
We transport raw materials such as isocyanates, polyols, ethanol, oils, and dispersions. In addition to the automotive, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics sectors, chemical raw materials are essential to a wide range of everyday products. We always prioritize flexibility, safety, and sustainability in every chemical logistics operation.

OUR SPECIAL EQUIPMENT 

For chemical shipments, HOYER uses a wide range of modern tank containers in various sizes, alongside specialized equipment. With our high-quality flexitanks, we provide tailor-made logistics solutions for small and medium quantities of non-hazardous chemicals – available globally.

Intermodal and international shipments of liquid chemicals are handled in tank containers. In China, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) are also deployed for small volumes. In addition to standard tank containers, we offer customized services and special equipment to meet your individual logistics needs. Our chemical logistics equipment includes:

  • Standard 20-foot tank containers (various capacities, with or without baffle walls)
  • Swap-body tank containers (7.15m / 7.82m, various capacities, with or without baffle walls)
  • Advanced insulation systems for hot and cold applications
  • Eco-efficient heating systems
  • Pump systems and lined tank containers
  • Refrigerated tank containers with integrated cooling/heating
  • Tank containers with newly developed heating systems
  • Titanium and alloy tank containers
  • Sensors to track pressure, temperature, and more

Incidentally: All IBCs and tank containers are also available for lease. Custom designs can be produced in collaboration with our partners.

COMMERCIAL CHEMISTS

Our commercial chemists determine the most suitable container based on product-specific requirements. They assess the tank’s construction material and verify compatibility with the transported chemical substance.

TANK CONTAINER SERVICES

HOYER offers comprehensive tank container and IBC services – including inspection, repair, cleaning, and modifications. We conduct both safety and periodic inspections in-house, and can also adapt special equipment to fit unique customer needs.

Internal cleaning is carried out by specialists at our certified cleaning stations, with all units returned complete with a cleaning certificate.

In our connected depot facilities, we undertake the storage of empty and full containers. Storage of dangerous goods, as well as temperature-controlled options. Our services include:

  • Heating or cooling of containers
  • Repairs and modifications
  • Depot storage of full and empty containers
  • Certified, product-specific cleaning
  • Uniform cleaning process standards
  • Environmentally correct disposal of product residues
